CCIP v2.0.0 ERC165CheckerReverting API Reference

ERC165CheckerReverting performs ERC-165 interface checks with strict safety guarantees.

Unlike standard interface checkers, it:

• ensures sufficient gas is available for the call
• validates return data explicitly
• reverts on ambiguous or unsafe conditions

This prevents silent failures when interacting with contracts that do not correctly implement ERC-165.

This library provides reusable helper functions and is not deployed as a standalone application-facing contract.

Usage Boundary

You do not call this library directly.

• Contracts use this library when verifying interface support on external contracts.
• It is typically used in token pools and hooks to ensure compatibility.
• You should use this library when interacting with untrusted or heterogeneous contracts.

Checks whether a contract supports a given interface and reverts on failure.

• Performs a safe ERC-165 check with validation.

Performs a low-level ERC-165 interface check without prior ERC-165 support verification.

• Intended for internal use when ERC-165 support is already assumed.

Notes

• Calls revert if the target contract does not behave as expected under ERC-165.
• Checks will revert if insufficient gas is available or if return data is malformed.
• This library is stricter than standard ERC-165 helpers, which may return false instead of reverting.
